Trabzon Free Zone
Trabzon is
located at the south-eastern corner of the Black Sea and emerging as
a trade center for the Republics of the former USSR. Trabzon also
has one of the most modern ports on the Black Sea. Trabzon Free Zone
offers convenient and ample storage facilities.
The Zone,
occupying 44,400 square meters of port area and providing 5,500
square meters of warehouse space (in the first phase of its
development), has a significant geographical location with regard to
highways, airways and seaways. TRANSBAS, a joint-venture company of
the Turkish Government's Maritime Corporation, the UK's Balli Group
and Japan's Marubeni Corporation, is the founder-operator company of
the Zone, and has a foreign share of 92 percent.
