Turkey: A Secure Environment
Turkey
provides a well-secured environment for foreign capital. It is a
party to several bilateral and multilateral agreements and
organizations. Investment Protection Agreements have been signed
with 31 countries and Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreements with
15 states. Turkey has signed a free trade agreement with Free Trade
Association (EFTA) in 1993. It is a member of the Organization of
the Islamic Conference and of the Islamic Development Bank.
Turkey has
taken the lead in forming the 11 member, Black Sea Economic
Corporation Zone (BSEC) which includes Bulgaria, Romania, Moldava,
Ukraine, Georgia, Russian Federation, Greece, Albania, Armenia and
Azerbaijan. |
