1995 Incentive Package Adds More Locations For Investments

Industrial Belts

The government has determined new geographical locations throughout the country for investments under a new scheme called "Industrial Belts".

In this scheme there are about 20 industrial zones which are already operational. A further 19 are under construction or at the planning stage. The Industrial Belts scheme offers lucrative advantages such as:

Investment Allowance up to 70% of the total fixed investment amount,
Customs duties and fund exemption,
VAT refunds,
Subsidized Credits amounting up to 40% of the fixed investment with 30% annual interest,
Government support for foreign credit security letter and,
Allocation of public land to investors.

The 20 industrial zones in Turkey are now categorized under the Industrial Belts scheme. These zones are in the following provinces:

Adana (I), Afyon, Antalya, Bilecik (I), Bolu, Burdur, Bursa (Inegol I), Denizli, Eskisehir(I,II), Gaziantep (I), Hatay (Iskenderun), Izmir (Menemen/Leather), Kayseri (I), Konya (I-II), Manisa (I-II), Tekirdag (Cerkezkoy I), Usak.

A further 19 provinces where Industrial Zones are either under construction or in the planning stages are also considered within the Industrial Belts scheme. These locations are in the following provinces:

Adana (II), Adana (Osmaniye), Aksaray, Balikesir, Balikesir (Bandirma-Gonen/Leather), Bilecik (Bozuyuk), Bilecik (II), Bolu (Duzce), Bolu (Gerede), Bursa (Demirtas- the part outside the boundaries of the Greater Municipality area), Bursa (Mustafakemalpasa), Bursa (Inegol II), Bursa (Karacabey), Bursa /Leather, Canakkkale, Canakkale (Biga), Denizli / Leather, Edirne, Eskisehir (III), Gaziantep (Kilis - Nizip), Gaziantep (III), Giresun, Hatay (Antakya), Isparta / Leather, Isparta (Yalvac / Leather), Izmir (Kemalpasa), Izmir(Tire), Izmir (Odemis), Karaman, Kayseri (II), Kirikkale, Kirklareli, Kirsehir, Kutahya, Manisa (Akhisar), Mersin (Tarsus), Mugla, Nevsehir, Nigde (Bor / Leather), Ordu (Unye), Rize, Sakarya, Samsun (Kavak), Tekirdag, Tekirdag (Hayrabolu - Malkara), Usak / Leather.
